To all my Fellow Bloggers who participated in Blogmas, WELL DONE!!!! It is not easy coming up with 25 Blog Posts and to be clear I had only planned out some of these posts. For most of them, I was just winging it, and I did not stick to only holiday themed posts. It’s especially hard to meet such a challenge, if you have lots of other things on your plate of life. I almost quit a few days back LOL!! I attempted Blogmas last year and I failed. But this year I completed the challenge, and what an awesome challenge it was! I’m proud of myself and you should be proud of yourself!!! If you took the time out to read my Blog, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I hope you enjoyed my creativity, expressions and thoughts. My hope as with any of my Blog Posts, is that you leave here inspired, motivated, that your thoughts are provoked, and maybe you’re a little hot and bothered LOL! I thoroughly enjoyed this, and now I will be taking a break from this Blog!!

Now, it’s time for me to enjoy Christmas and spend time with my family!❤️

Merry Cookies Part 1

C2884E95-FDB8-4A32-8337-6F1F996FB2AF.jpeg

Every year, Merry Nicole cooks the best batch of chocolate chip cookies for the Annual Holiday office party. This year, I just knew it would be no different. Her cookies were quite popular. She could bake her butt off! Merry Nicole didn’t have much of a personality, she was odd, shy, and her wardrobe was hard to stomach. She was always fully covered head to toe. She wore dark colors, glasses, and flat shoes. Her hair was always in a messy bun. She was pretty though. She had naturally beautiful skin, and beautiful dark brown eyes. Her behavior was awkward at times. I mean…there’s always one or two at each workplace lol. But she more than made up for it with those cookies. So, I’m at the party and the place is getting packed. Not too packed because there’s not many of us at all. The party was always held at a small hall which was perfect for us. Merry Nicole is nowhere to be found which is strange because she always shows up extra early to set up her cookie spread. Two hours passed by, and she still hadn’t arrived. The party started at six. It was now eight, and still no sign of her. I asked around to see if anyone had called her. Daren from our Claims Department tried, but she didn’t answer. I decided to have a few glasses of white wine, and started dancing the night away with my other co workers. Things were getting wild! Sharon from our IT Department was on top of one of the tables, doing a mild striptease number lol. What else was new lol? Mike from our Call Center was having a dance off against Jay from Maintenance. Jay was killing it! The strobe lights were going. GOGO music was playing in the background from a stereo. It was a great time!! Everybody was free and enjoying one another. It was the one time we all could let loose. I was about five glasses in and in comes GUESS WHO? The music stopped playing, and I almost didn’t recognize her. It was Merry Nicole. She had on this little black fitted dress with black heels. Her hair was let down and filled with spiral curls. She had these perky c cups, a firm bottom, a very nice body. She was slim thick. I wanted to form words, but I couldn’t. We all were in a state of shock, and couldn’t believe our eyes. I’ve worked with this woman for eight years, and I never really saw her. That night we all saw her. Not only did she come in looking stunning, she was pulling a cart with 2 medium sized containers of cookies piled on! After we finished gawking at her, we all finally conjured up some words. We all greeted her, and told her how beautiful she looked, and how we couldn’t wait to indulge in her delicious cookies. She wasn’t a woman of many words. Needless to say, she didn’t say much. She pulled her cart up to the table, and began to place the cookies on the table, still in the containers of course. When she was finished, we all bum rushed the cookies. Daren, Jay, and Mike bogarted their way to the front which was rude! I expected nothing less from them! They all grabbed a handful each of cookies. Oh and did I mention these fools are the only men in our office, and they are all equally handsome? Yes indeed! So back to the party. Finally, it was my turn to get some cookies, and I couldn’t contain myself. Only there were no chocolate chip cookies left. She made the same cookies faithfully every single year, and they were all gone. However, there were what looked to be sugar cookies left. I asked her what happened to all the chocolate chip cookies, and she said the men took them all. The men AKA the fools aforementioned. I was annoyed mostly because I was a creature of habit. You know how it is when you have your mouth watered, and set for something? Yes that was me. Anyways, I decided to try the sugar cookies even though I preferred the other ones. In all honesty, they were so delicious. They were VERY delicious, actually. I ate about three…four…ok I ate six!! At this point, I was full and everyone was winding on down. Merry Nicole was across the room talking to Jay, Daren, and Mike. I was heading over to be nosey because she didn’t talk much, and I wanted to hear what she was saying. Then, all of a sudden hot flashes came over me, my stomach was turning, and I just didn’t feel well. I needed to go take a bathroom break. I ran down the hallway, and ran into the bathroom. Thank goodness the bathroom was empty. I rushed into the stall, and threw up, and I felt so much better. I collected myself, splashed water all over my face, washed my hands, and took a deep breath. I made my way back to the party. I turned the corner and I saw Jay on the floor. He was…

Linnea’s Purpose

6A1E6CE5-5EDB-4B7A-B348-5154AE75D33B

I used to always wonder what my purpose was in this life that I was gifted with. I could never really figure out what my calling was and I always found myself asking God, quite frequently to show me something. I just wanted something more, something big. I felt useless and unfulfilled which transitioned into depression. Now, I’ve dibbled and dabbled in many things like tap dance, dance in general, singing/songwriting, instruments, YouTube videos, and cooking. These are all great things and I like them. I do love music, even went as far as going into the studio. But, it’s not something I ever felt fully passionate about pursuing professionally. Even with doing all of these things, I still felt a void, and I still felt like it wasn’t my calling. It wasn’t my purpose. It didn’t move me nor did it move my soul.

When I was in Middle School and High School, I used to keep a journal. I wrote about my days, my experiences, things I was going through, and I wrote poetry. Oh and I wrote songs. Middle School was rough for me so writing helped me to get through it. When I got to High School, I started writing more and more. I wrote more songs, more poetry, and I wrote my very first story. The story was actually for a class and I received an A on it. It was about a girl who was possessed after staring into the snow and the story got weirder. Don’t know where the hell that story came from lol. My teacher loved it. I knew I was different lol. My teacher at the time, whose name I can’t remember for the life of me. He was an older gentleman with long gray Fabio type hair lol which he always wore in a ponytail, and he wore glasses. You know, he could’ve been kin to Sean Connery. Anyways, he told me to keep writing and to never stop. Of course I didn’t take him seriously at the time because I was young and dumb. I went on to graduate, went to college for a little bit to pursue a degree in forensics, and I stopped writing. I stopped writing. I had children and my writing got lost in my new life. My life revolved and still revolves around my family. Anything and everything I ever wanted to do was swept under the rug.

At the beginning of  2018,  I started writing again. I started to notice the feeling I got whenever I was writing. I felt joy, passion, and happiness. I felt really good! I enjoyed writing and I enjoyed reading. It eased my anxiety too which was a bonus for me! I had never shared any of my work with anyone except for my teacher. I was always private when it came to things like that. I was holding so much inside which was part of my problem and part of my struggles. Writing was my way of expression. Writing was my passion. It fulfilled me. Writing is my passion. Helping others is also my passion. So in September 2018, I finally decided to follow my dreams because life is so short. I launched my Blog in hopes of impacting and inspiring others through my words, my creativity, sharing my truth, and my experiences. I was nervous about my very first Blog Post because it was raw and very real. I was finally unleashing my weaknesses and struggles out into the world. For all to see and for some to judge. Weaknesses that have kept me dormant all these years. Though I knew I wanted to and I couldn’t risk caring about what people thought. I couldn’t allow it to stop me. I needed to build this blog on the shoulders of my transparency. I’m so happy that I did. So many people tell me everyday that I’m inspiring them, impacting them in some way, how they are now following their dreams, or starting their own blogs because of me. No I’m not a celebrity or even close to it. No I didn’t decide to do this just to please anyone other than myself. I did it because I wanted to. Yet, I’m still making an impact and trying to live a meaningful life in the process. That’s all I want to do. Do you know how great of feeling it is for people to look at you and go, “I got this”, “I can do this because she’s doing this”, “You’ve inspired me” because it is truly amazing!!! However, I’m not stopping there. I decided to start writing a book, an Erotic Thriller Novel, and I launched my Podcast recently because I need to go bigger. I thought writing brought me joy. Omg!!! This Podcast is definitely my calling as well!!!! I have so many ideas and places I want to take this new platform. I can reach even more people. I asked God to show me and he showed out. I have lots of work to do.

I wrote all that to write this, YOU HAVE TO PAY  GREAT ATTENTION TO WHAT MOVES YOUR SOUL, TO WHAT MAKES YOU SMILE ENDLESSLY, AND DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY!!! Ask yourself why you’re in it. You can absolutely do anything you want to do. You can!! It is never to late to start and it is not impossible. There is room for us all to win, to be great, and to be successful! Always Remember this! Be well!

Thank you for taking time out to read this.

Breakup

To Whom It May Concern,

I can no longer be your crutch…

I took you down countless deadend alleys. I sought out your weaknesses and instigated them further. I took your smile away and tried to bury it. I made sure you were always in bad company because I knew you’d feed into it somehow, as usual. I’ve thrown you into the thunder and the lightning. I really tried to break you and I really wanted to destroy you. You see…I represent a dark place. A dark place that you kept on revisiting. You’ve kept me alive all these years, simply by visiting me, and supplying me with a well lit space in your thoughts. However, it is time for you to let me go. While I’ve enjoyed your company, my work here is done. The trail of obstacles I set before you, in an attempt to keep you stuck, couldn’t even go up against your unstoppable strength, your will, and your determination to change. Things you probably never even knew existed within you. Hell, things I never even knew existed within you. I killed your soul countless times. But each time, it was exhumed and resurrected. Your light blinded my darkness. I can’t even define you. I admit that I definitely underestimated you and I failed. What a great thing for your sake because I don’t fit into anymore of your chapters. I’ve given you all the tools you’ll ever need to live in the present. I lured your power and your purpose out onto the surface which means I can no longer be a part of your life. I won’t mix in well with your purpose nor your power. Now, you must only move forward and use me as a stepping stool into your greatness. Don’t look back.

Best Regards,

Your Past

Can You Find Me?

I exude a power so grand. A power so great. A power so strong that it will move you and the masses into your worthiness. It will erupt your soul into fire. I can shield you with a magnifying light of value. It will shine so bright into the eyes of those who don’t believe. Your presence will be a beauty to behold and light up any room. I’ve been known to ruffle the envious feathers of those who don’t know me yet. I’ve also been known to cause an explosive, life changing domino effect. Not only can I help  you find those tiny puzzle pieces that you lost. I can put them back together in perspective. I will give you inevitable strength of infinity and beyond. But you have to find me which can be tricky for you. I’m waiting for you to find me…

Isolate yourself, Sit, DIG deep, and pull back the troubled layers.

There you will find me.

Be Well!

Interview with Jordan Joseph!

6DBD6F0A-C0FA-429F-AB8C-43E2710987FB
Jordan Joseph had big dreams of becoming a singer since the age of 6, and has been working towards those dreams ever since. He is a true and genuine example of what determination, hard work, and focus looks like. At one point, Jordan was living out of his car while still working towards his goals and dreams. He never gave up which ultimately landed him a record deal with Nick Cannon and his Ncredible team. Jordan is working on his first EP. Recently, he allowed me to interview him and here’s what he had to say…
1. Where are you from?
I am from Kentwood by way of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Both Parents went to MSU so that’s where I was born the MSU campus.
2. What made you want to become a singer?
As a young boy my Step-Father was a producer to the stars and by 6 I was already dreaming of being a Backstreet Boy or in BOYZ2MEN. I would put on full shows to full albums making all my siblings dance as well. Music was a big part of my childhood at home and I dreamed of Hollywood as I had seen it but more than that I just loved the freedom of music and performing. It was an escape from my family issues.
 3. What does music mean to you?
Music literally means the world to me. Music is a mood. Music is artist expression of a moment or story. What better way to feel something or make another heart feel something than by music, melodies, poetry etc.  Music literally means the world. I don’t even have a preferred genre, I love music. Real music makes you feel and can inspire an entire movement and change in the culture…in the world.
4. Who inspired you growing up?
Michael Jackson of course! Drake is also a big one. But I love so many artist of many genres. Usher and Chris Brown were big for me as well. I wanted to be a Backstreet Boy so there is that. Prince, J Holiday, Jon B. I am a huge Eminem fan and have been since “Slim Shady,” Since my dad worked with Usher and many other artist out at the time so many became huge inspirations. The Love frequency is were I want to live though.
5. Can you describe how your life has been impacted since working with Nick Cannon?
Wow, Since the moment with Nick I’ve spent most of my time rediscovering who “Jordan Joseph” the artist is. For so long the dream seemed more like chasing the sun. I didn’t realize how far I had run since I had become so use to running and surviving so far from home. I was once told “God will humble you in such a way that you will serve those that will one day serve you.” This stuck with me since because I have spent my life doing for others and working in the service industry. Since Nick I have been able to let up on that some. I have been able to get back to finding my voice having only know it in a group. I have spent much time with myself, but not as I was while living in my car but spiritually and mentally. As you saw there was a breathe of air ending my video with Nick, I’m currently breathing and finally working as an artist. I have experienced some very difficult moments in the business and its a lot of patience and confidence. I’m learning an loving. Most of all I’m coming!
6. You’re working on your first EP right? How is it going?
Yes, this is correct! Its coming along. This is a lot more work and waiting than imagine. I’m such a perfectionist an so in my head at times of recording music. To me everything can always “be better.” I’ve recorded some amazing music and met amazing producers. Still working on it though! Stay tuned! The music is so good!
7.What do you like to do in your free time?
This is a hard one. In a real answer, “I don’t know.” Ive spent much of my life chasing the dream. I’m learning to live now that I have SOME time. I find myself at the movies solo a lot. I love to bowl! I love the beach! Man spent many nights at the beach looking at the moon and stars. Never know what you`ll see. Drop me in a room full of dreamers and great convo, otherwise look for me falling in love. I love the simple things. I haven’t been able to travel but I want to see the world. Share my story and spread some insight and love.
8. How do you stay so fit?
Listen, at 3 months old I was in a car accident that killed me. Thank God it wasn’t my time. The doctors said I wouldn’t walk, talk, or live as a normal child. I am very active! I love to try new things. I also worked at Equinox for 6 years and it created a healthy lifestyle for me in the gym and outside. Fitness and health is very important to me. Workout 3/5 times a week and eat healthy. I’m also a pescetarian.
9. What advice would you give to someone who maybe struggling and wanting to get into the music industry?
Never give up! If it is really in your heart and you dream about this, then never quit! The music industry is one of the hardest to break into for so many reasons. Its the industry where you can be who you want or who everyone wants you to be but there is NO easy way to break in. There is no right answer. Never forget to be true to who you are and measure success on your terms. I chose to be right to the world and somehow I landed a foot in the door. Now I am learning more about myself before I walk through it. You must walk with confidence in who you are. If you don’t believe who you are, how can you expect anyone else to? Have faith!!! And do everything from the heart.
10. What keeps you so grounded, humble, real, and down to earth?
You MUST take time for yourself yes, but what people don’t understand is you must also be present. Present in the world around you. Look up! Fall in love as it comes! Compliment and bring joy to others! Nothing feels better or feeds the heard and mind like bringing a sense of calm or joy to others. And as an artist these are the things you write and sing about. These are your stories. If that doesn’t help the gym and meditation daily helps!

Thank you so much Jordan for taking time out!
