With a storied career that has taken him and his band to nearly 30 countries worldwide from main stages to prestigious festivals and packed houses in legendary clubs, Matt is recognized for critical acclaim including: ”British Blues Guitarist of the Year” (3X), “British Blues Album of the Year”, and ”Top Ten British Blues Guitarist of All Time” alongside Eric Clapton and Peter Green.

“Blessed with a voice strong enough to front a band without his guitar, Schofield’s mastery of his instrument imbues every lick of this genre-blurring blast with a swinging and soulful touch. Staggering proof that the British blues invasion endures.” – Boston Herald [“Far As I Can See”]
Known for his popular releases ”Heads, Tails, & Aces” (British Blues Album of The Year), “Anything But Time“, and most recent “Far As I Can See“, and more, Matt is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album that launched his solo career, with the release of an upcoming album reuniting him with his original organ trio line-up. Blues Review Magazine dubs “Schofield [as] the entire package… a singer with range and soul” and the new album will be no different delivering the same familiar fluid, melodic playing and iconic tones, emotive vocals, and improvisational brilliance that have inspired legions of guitarists and fans alike.
