Shower us with Black Excellence Part 10!

I think that young women and little girls need to see that they don’t have to be the damsel in distress. They don’t have to not show their strength. They don’t have to be whatever the stereotype is or the tropes that we go to in our minds. ~Octavia Spencer

“I asked God to help me grow and it started raining.”  – ASHLEY EDWARDS

“Look at a tree, a flower, a plant. Let your awareness rest upon it. How still they are, how deeply rooted in Being. Allow nature to teach you stillness.”

– Eckhart Tolle

Ashley Edwards is an entrepreneur with a unique love of plants that cultivated her business into the FLOW LIFE PODCAST. Ashley’s values started with the 4 pillar points in which her podcast was birthed from Family, Love, Obedience & Worship. The Flow Life Podcast promotes self-love & accountability while living a healthy intentional life. Ashley’s mission is to remind the world that we are allowed to grow no matter what season in life we are in. Ashley came to the realization that speaking kindly to her plants helped them grow & her faith fueled her to reciprocate that power by speaking kindly to humans and the phenomenal impact it can have.

Ashley reminds us that our scars are a sign of healing and we can find beauty from it. One may see an ugly scar but Ashley saw her own scars as an indicator that the hurt is over and that her wound is closed and it is healed.  No matter how long one takes to heal, we all will experience some sort of growth and that is what living life is all about. Ashley understands how stepping into our highest potential fulfilling the vision that God created us to live out whether we are a believer or not can be intimidating and feel foreign but wherever life plants us, we each will bloom & grow whether we believe we are allowed to or not. She uses her platform to inspire & empower all on what it feels like to be present when we allow nature to guide us in reconnecting to the inherent stillness that exists inside of us all. Evolution and change is constant so we must learn to adapt and grow. Ashley takes this same approach on life like this, just when the caterpillar thought its life was over it then began to fly. The irony is that we always think growth is supposed to be convenient by feeling & looking good, but in reality it all starts from the dirt or in other terms nothing grows from comfort zones.  Ashley speaks healing words into the atmosphere that people all around the world are able to receive fruit from the tree of life. Sometimes we will have to take a break, rest, re-charge, unlearn to relearn new healthy habits and routines, but we must always give ourselves patience and space to grow.  We have to believe, move, feel, see, embrace, love, forgive, & as in the plant community would say “begin the pruning process”, which is cutting away any dead branches or stems out of our lives even when we fight the urge to. We are all where we are supposed to be even when we have doubts. Ashley reminds us that there is a secret in life that we may have forgotten because we don’t allow ourselves to believe it based on what we have experienced in life or what we see in today’s society. “We are a-lot stronger than we think.” Ashley always says. Finding the balance is the major struggle we face as a community but with love & unity in mind, the Flow Life Podcast is the bridge to close the gap where humanity is still alive and overflowing. We are not limited to just being seen as a work in progress, instead we are a work of art. We are complete from our head down to our feet because our journey is a never ending story, instead it’s constantly flowing and we are forever growing. Ashley empowers her audience to embrace being “ORiGINALLY YOU” , while being “GRATEFUL ” for our life’s journey and “going with God’s flow”.. In life, there will be things out of our control , but one thing we are in control of is our growth and the direction we will go. Ashley is carrying her message into the streets and has also created a clothing brand which is available for the whole family to experience.
